(Online) How to Prepare for Foreign Markets: An Event for Authors, Translators and Publishers

Whether you've had the experience of being translated or not, this conversation will prepare you for working with a translator. We'll discuss where translators come from and how to find them, what they can and cannot do, and the typical meta-text issues that come up in the translation from Ukrainian or Russian. This event will be held in English and translators who work in other languages will no doubt find the conversation useful.

Kate Tsurkan (founding editor of Apofenie) will moderate a discussion between Nina Murray (poet, translator), Bohdana Neborak (cultural manager) and Zenia Tompkins (founder of TAULT agency, translator) about the behind-the-scenes aspects of literary translation that every author and translator should know.
